(shrug) What reason would I have to think the answer was sarcastic? Who would have ever thought Ana Gasteyer from SNL could play this part - and yet - there she is. I'm no Broadway afficianado, and I know Daphne Rubin-Vega has been in Broadway musicals, so I took the answer at face value.

NO! GOSH! Can't you people get ANYTHING right?! Oprah is SO not playing Fiyero! But Clay Aiken is set to play Boq, Kelly Ripa is going to play Elphaba, and Rosie O'Donnell is in talks for Nessarose. But at least you got Jack Black right - he starts as Glinda in February. |

DID YOU GUYS HEAR?!?!
As of tomorrow, they are taking the Original Broadway Cast Recording out of ALL music stores and music websites. "They" have a list of everyone who bought the recording. "They" will be visiting those peoples' houses and destroying the CD, the mp3 files, and any other possible way for somebody to listen to the CD. After "they" heard about the cast listed above (Jack Black - Glinda, Oprah - Fiyero) they decided to expand on the idea (Harvey Fierstein as Elphaba, Clay Aiken as Boq, Rosie O'Donnell as Nessa, Marissa J.W. as Morrible, 50 Cent as the Wizard), and decided to make a brand new recording. I am so excited!! |
