I love Ronette, Crystalle, and Chiffon. They carry the show and I think it'd be fun to play.
Not so much the character but I LOVE Steve Martin as Orin. He is absolutely creepy and hilarious and perfect in that part. |

I am in love with the character of Seymour... I think it is because I was cast in the role in high school, before I really knew anything about the show. When I started studying the script, and watching the movie I always tried to see it through Seymour's eyes... if that makes any sense... he also goes through so much mental agony throughout the entire show, which is always fun to play/watch... I just love that role

Totally watched the movie last night ... gosh, I am in LOVE with the music from that show!! It's fantastic ....
I adore Ronette, Crystall, and Chiffon .... can we say FABULOUS costumes?! Audrey II is fun .... and, I have to admit, I like Orin ... creepy, insane villains are always exciting! |

Mines pretty obvious... lol. I like Audrey II cause he's just hilarious and when as the puppeteer (the actual plant) I learned a lot because the puppet master knew the guy who originally wrote Little Shop. Audrey II is just trying to survive and he'll do anything to do so. He turns from a little baby to a big bad mobster and thats what I love about good ol' Twoey!

I love Seymour. He's just so sweet and well-meaning. I feel like him a lot of times. I hate the place I'm in and would give anything to get out. I just adore him.

Chiffon.....
because it has secretly always been my dream to say to someone "Sit Down *Insert Name Here*, Blaire gonna sing for ya!" Oh... Chiffon! haha |

As far as characters I'd like to perform someday, I'd love to do the voice of Audrey II (I'd put a little bit of Tom Waits into that one), and Orin (just so I can get in touch with my inner bad guy).
Not so much the character, but the portrayal of him: Mel Welles as Gravis Mushnik in the original (non-musical) film. Mel, God rest his soul, gave Mushnik a decidedly Jewish accent (he claimed it was more Sephardic than Ashkenazi), and inserted a ton of hilarious Yiddishisms, something he did when he was asked to reprise Mushnik on stage in 1999. ("Vat kind of meshugganeh weirdo plant is dot?") If I ever play Mushnik, I'll do the same thing. |

Audrey was one of my favorties to play. I just closed Little Shop 2 weeks ago. She was actually a challenge, but amazing to play. some of my best character work http://picasaweb.google.com/pdgpictures/2007LittleShop/photo#5086478401891479922[img][/img] |
