Dear "West Side Story" Fans,

Who else thinks that Kat DeLuna would be the perfect Maria?

Kat is young and pretty, and she seems to have a good voice. Do you think that she'd be able to play the perfect Maria either onstage, or in a remake of the "West Side Story" movie?

I have no clue what Kat would think of the role of Maria, and I don't know about any new stage, or movie, productions of "West Side Story". I didn't even know about Kat until I saw the cover of a Latin American magazine while I was sitting in a hospital waiting room, waiting for someone from my family to recover from an operation. If I hadn't been in that waiting room, I may have never known about Kat; I think that she sounds as though she's very talented.

DOM, I don't have t owatch the vide oto know. I've seen Kat De Luna's Wihne Up. I never thought of it. However, I think it would be an interesting idea. I certainly think her capable of the high C in Tonight. I doubt she is seriously the Maria for the 09 Broadway revival though.
