Who do you think is the scariest Wizard?I think PJ Benjamin can be pretty scary, and oddly enough I also find Joel Grey's Wizard to be scary too.
I guess that's cause he was scary in Cabaret, but still
So which Wizard makes you go ?

as in brilliantly scary or as in insanely scary?
I think Ben Vereen is the best actor on the whole, but I don't think he really captures the hick in the Wizard, but doesn't really portray the villainous side of him either. I think he portrays him as a guy who's just trying to do the right thing, but it came out all wrong - which I don't think is right. Clearly the suppression of Animals isn't "the right thing."
Sean McCourt, I have often said, is my favorite Wizard. He brings out the hick while still showing the part of the character that makes you shudder. Joel Grey seems all hick and George Hearn - I don't like him at all. He's all right in Sweeney Todd, but he just doesn't belong in Wicked. None of the other Wizards that I've seen really stand out to me...

the best actor in the bunch is George Hearn.
he nails both aspects of the character as well.

Nigel Planner is scarey when he smiles ofstage Am I the only one who finds his smile odd?
My favourite wizards are Joel Grey, and George Hearn though.
