Except Sonny and Marty don't really date or anything, they just pair off for the sake of pairing off at the end.

^^ Those are the only couples who you really see a lot of. S&D and J&R sing together in their own songs. R&K are usually making out.
Doody and Frenchy are seen together at the dance and thats about it. Oh and his lines before Beauty School Drop Out.
Sonny and Marty pair up at the end because Sonny says he will paint her name on his new Impala.

Yea those are about the only true couples in the Musical. I just finished our community production of it a month ago(I played Sonny).. it was a lot of fun!!! It was a great cast and we alll got along well and it was the greatest!!!

It depends how much the actors make themselves a couple. When I saw it, two of my friends were playing the parts. They look alike, have known each other forever, and even go to the same school, on top of the fact they're both great actors. They made the cutest stage couple I've ever seen in my life, in my opinion.
