Which should I audition for?Well, I'm 15, and I've been in 5 productions thus far.
I'm really short, standing at 5'1, though thats never been a problem.
I'm pretty thin, with long brown hair.
But I belt.
I can sing low low alto and high saprano.
I'm thinking about going out for Into Thw Woods; a place where I live is doing it.
But, I've looked through the characters and I can't decide who I should audition for.
Maybe Cinderella?
Or Little Red?
If it helps my only other two lead rloes were the sour kangaroo from seussical and winniefred from once upon a mattress.
but though i can belt, i can also have a pretty, high, soft voice.
PLEASE HELP! hah
thanks c:

You sound to me like a cut-and-dried Little Red, no question.

I concur. It's difficult to make judgements without hearing/seeing you perform, but based on what info you've given and the roles you've played in the past...Little Red sounds very much in your zone.

Definately Lil' Red. She's spunky and she's supposed to belt. Plus she's younger so your height would work to your advantage.
Keep in mind that you need to sing a song for your audition as difficult as Sondheim (sp) because his compositions are difficult. Plus Into the Woods is said to be one of Sondheim's more difficult musicals, esp. the second act.
You have experience it sounds like and if your not too cocky you should do great on the audition.
Tell us how it goes!
And what do you mean by high saprano. Saprano starts at a G but how much higher can you go? I think I can go pretty high too. I have about a 3 octave range from a D (below middle C) to I think the E two octaves above. (Keep in mind I'M only 14)
See ya
