Which One To Buy...I love Company, but have never owned the cast recording.
Its finally time to buy one, and I only have enough money for one.
Theres the original
The 1995
and the 2006.
Which one should I buy?
The same problem is happening Candide.
There are so many versions I don't know which one to get.

the only COmpany album you will ever need is the OBC.
Nothing beats it.
No One has come close to Dean Jone's brillant Bobby. His Being ALive is an emotional cry from the inner soul.
Elaine Stritch is a legend as Joanne. to this day one cant Hear Ladies Who Lunch w/o thinking of the great Stritch.
Charles KImbrough's Harry (Sorry/Grateful), and Pamela Myers' Marta (Another HUndred People) have also never bene topped.
there are good things about the other albums...i reccomend you get them all eventually. but start with the original.
as for Candide. the revival starring JIm Dale is perfection. He is the Quintessential Pangloss....Harolyn Blackwell's Glitter and Be Gay rivals even Barbara Cooks..and Andrea Martin,Jason Danielly,Stacy Logan ,Arte Johnsonand Brent Barret are all excellently cast.
