Which is the best role in the Jr. Version......The Baker's Wife, or Cinderella?
And I don't want to get into the whole 'The Baker's Wife vs. Cinderella in the full version' debate. I just want to know what you opinion is on which character is the best role to play, all things considered, in the Jr. version. Please consider the cuts in songs and lines. Right now, I'm leaning towards Cindy, but let's battle it out people!
And if someone could list their personal pros and cons between the two, please, that would be muchly appreciated.

I'd have to say Cinderella. In terms of the full show, definitely BW, but most of BW's great stuff is in Act II. And Cinderella definitely has more solo singing in Jr. Like I said, most of BW's stuff is in Act II.

That's sort of what I thought, too. The thing is, I am much more cut out for TBW, but I really love Cindy's part. That's my problem: TBW means more to me, but Cindy is a bigger part. I suppose I'll have to find the script somewhere and read it to see which part I like more...

^Go to the broadway Jr website- they have good chunks of the scripts under "audition central."
Also, not to be rude, but would it kill you to audition for both roles and see what you get? Why limit yourself? (unless it's a rule)

Ah! Thanks for the Broadway Jr. tip!
And no, it wouldn't kill me or anything. But for this particular theater troupe's auditions, they reccomend that you pick one character to sing for at the initial auditions. So there's my problem. But who knows! Cause I would be fine with either character.
