Which country have CATS in the summer?

Hello everyone!
I have a question about performance schedule of CATS.

I am thinking about traveling abroad this September.
I haven't decided where I will go, but I want to go to a city where CATS is performed Very Happy
I know there are US tour and UK tour, but I can't find their tour schedule in the summer, so I want to know how many months before the performance are these tour datas usually announced.
Also, I want to know about German tour and Polish production.
Are they going to run the show in the summer?
I looked RUG site and some fan sites to get these information, but I couldn't find information I want.
If you know, could you tell me please?

Thank you in advance, and sorry about my bad English.

This is a token of my gratitude. Hope you like it Very Happy

Thank you for the video, Sakura! I love Japanese Cats, too!

There will be a new cast rehearsing next month for the US Tour, and they haven't released the new dates yet. As soon as they do, I'm sure MsJellicle will have them on her site.

Thank you very much for the information!
I will wait for more tour dates to be added.
I hope there are performances in September.

This is another video of Japanese CATS (old version) Very Happy
Performers are not in their costumes, but you can see the choreography is very different from other productions.
Also, you can see white Tugger (without a collar) in a moment.

I think maybe they will have September off; they deserve a break!

Hah! Thanx for sharing those videos, they were awesome. Wink

If you're thinking about traveling to the US, and want to catch the Troika tour of Cats, check http://ticketmaster.com and search "cats." Since theatrical productions are usually booked at least a year or two in advance, they should have current planned dates and you can get your tickets (provided they are on sale) early enough to guarantee yourself a good seat. Be prepared to PAY, though. Ticketmaster is notorious for slapping on a ton of surcharges. Rolling Eyes Confused

I don't know if this applies to the UK though.

Good luck!
MsJellicle

Not all theaters use tickemaster, so they wouldn't list all of the dates available. For listings for the US Tour, it would probably be better to go to my site (http://www.msjellicle.com/tour/). (Hope I don't sound too pretentious saying that. It's just...well...more accurate sometimes).

Actually, if I recall correctly, there are three stops listed already on my site for the next 'cast year'. One in October, and two in January, I think...oh, and one in May. Smile

Hmm, I didn't expect the UK tour would have September off Crying or Very sad
I thought performers and staffs in a touring company couldn't have a vacation until the tour ends.

I've visited MsJellicle's website, and I think it's very useful site!
I'll keep eyes on it to get new tour dates Smile
I also have to check the ticketmaster because I think this is the only place for me to buy tickets.

And, I went to German tour site before posting the first message but I couldn't find tour dates after München.
There isn't a schedule page in the CATS site, is it??
I wish I could understand German.

Anyway, thank you again for all your help!
I deeply appreciate your kindness Very Happy

PS.
This is probably the last video I post.

May 28th is the last date for the German tour. After that, Cats closes in Germany Sad (but there are vague rumours of it starting again ina year or so).

I don't know.. But I once heard that the UK tour was coming to Brazil at the end on August till the end of September... They would be performing in São Paulo and Rio on HUGE concert houses, couse it was like a "special visit" brought by CIE Brasil, the companny that always makes the brazilian version of these musicals (like Chicago, les Miserables, The Phantom...). They were thinking about producing Cats here, with a brazilian cast, but they didn't think the lyrics would match our language in comercial ways (translation: people wouldn't like it)...

I remember people commenting the UK tour comming over... They were saying it would be really weird having to read subtitles in the theatre as well as we do in movies.......

But there aren't any confirmations of that. I mean, it would be awesome for us here, because in Brazil everything is about the Phantom of the Opera, which is on a 18-month season here and all I have of cats in the DVD and youtube videos... Sad Crying or Very sad

The tour is off to Portugal over the summer for several months to perform which is why no further dates are announced much past that point. I believe its nipping abroad again after xmas too and then returning early easter time to continue round the UK till the end of summer '07.
