Where the Wild Things Are (2009)This movie was absolutely astounding. The simplicity and honesty of the entire film's energy was perfect. There was nothing flashy, nor were there any eye-popping effects that really stood out. It was very low-key, but also very high energy at times. This movie was perfect.
Max Records, playing the main character, Max, was absolute perfection. He was completely believable. Never once did I think he was acting. He committed to everything and really owned the role. I just wanted to pick him up and hug him at times... This boy has a very bright future.
Go see it. Please.

edit: especially about wanting to hug Max. Every time he smiled it made me so happy, he was so sweet.

Conversely, when he was being a little shit, I wanted to smack him. He really captured the highs and lows of being an unruly kid of that age. He was loving and hateful, affectionate and violent, caring and completely selfish. He was fantastic.
I think a lot of people will dislike this movie, but I loved it.

It's not zero point O, it's a face. O_o is what I use, but in this case, 0.o was used, with the period as the smiley's nose, and the zero and o its eyes.
