Where is Stephanie's Accent From?

What sort of accent does Stephanie J. Block have? Being from CA, her voice always sounded accented to me, and I'd be interested to know where she's from. Thank you Very Happy

I have no idea who she is past playing Elphaba in america, and seeing a few pics, but I'm sure a quick search on www.imdb.com will answer some questions! Mr. Green

I don't know that she has an accent as much as a tone... she has a very distinct way of shaping her vowels, especially when she sings. According to IMDB, though, she was born in California.

Hi! New here.

Agreed with the above; Stephanie doesn't really have an accent so much as a unique way of enunciating her words--which, in my experience, makes it very easy to understand her, even from the top of the theatre.

I enjoyed her in WICKED, but Grania seems to be "her" role. Here's hoping the changes they make are good ones, so she can play it for a long time.
