Mardi Gras translated means Fat Tuesday in French. It starts Twelfth Night (January 6) and runs thru the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which is today.

I thought Mardi Gras meant 'Fat Tuesday' so I'm guessing it's a one-day thing rather than a week long. I could be wrong.
Are we all aware that we all failed to mention Chinese New Year on the site?

Actually, the festival starts in January, and culminates on Fat Tuesday (as I stated before GB's comment, but once HE posts, all other posts pale in comparison...  )
