When during a regional show's run is best to go?Assuming a show is having, say a three month run?
At one point throughout the course of the production is the audience bound to get the best product? First few weeks? Last few weeks?

I would say about two weeks in is generally the best...(If that's the only show that the company is doing at that time...) People have gotten over opening night jitters, most of the kinks in the show technically and otherwise have been worked out, and the show is still relatively fresh to the actors...
In summerstock, after about a week run of performances or so, the cast is already thinking more about the rehearsals that are going on during the day for the next show they are putting up...(At least, that's generally the vibe I get when I've worked summer stock or rep companies!)

Never opening night. The two week rule sounds about right. Also, if I really like the show, going closing night is always really fun. Its when the cast has the highest energy and sometimes the cast will through in little extras and can be kind of silly.
