When and where is Miss Saigon playing in New Zealand?I saw Miss Saigon in Melbourne and Sydney, but it seems to have left Australia. I believe it's in NZ, but where and what dates? |

It was going to New Zealand but they had to cancel it. Not enough intrest apparently. Such a shame. It finished with a great cast |

To bump an old thread...the Musical Theatre consortium is doing Saigon next year - it'll be the same idea as Cats and Beauty and the Beast - set and costumes travel to the various societies around the country who then mount their own production. I know it's in Christchurch April-May, not sure where it goes after that but suspect that it'll go through Wellington, Dunedin, Invercargill, Palmerston North, North Shore at least. |

Definately in NZ next year. Stephen Robertson (Dir.) and Richard Marrett (Mus. Dir.) are first up for the NZ Premier in Christchurch April 17th.
See http://www.musical.org.nz/miss_saigon.htm for all the dates of the "National Tour". I'm in the cast as Captain Schultz / Ensemble (happy just to be able to foot it with the 20 somethings!) |

I don't think they'll revive it anytime soon. But then again, that's what I said about Les Mis back in '03. |

Quick update on the New Zealand premiere of Miss Saigon! We're well into rehearsals, with opening night just under a month away (opening April 17th) and it's coming together nicely! Kim has been brought in from the States, and she is phenomenal; the rest of the cast are Kiwis, with the Engineer coming from Wellington and everyone else from Christchurch, where the show is being produced. The set goes into the theatre in a fortnight and so we're in for an exciting few weeks |

Saw the show 8 times in Oz. I hope to deliver a course for IBM in NZ and see MS again sometime! |

American Dream does not include a Cadillac, but there's something (which I personally think is even better!) as a replacement for it; the helicopter is phenomenal and has to be seen to be believed! The Christchurch season is midway through and doing superbly - you can't get tickets for love nor money and we're getting rave reviews |
