Actually, I think Miles Gloriosus is the lowest vocal range in the show.
Marcus doesn't have to be a great singer. After all, the original Lycus was veteran character actor John Carradine (father of David and Keith). He made a lot of early horror films; in 'The Invisible Man' with Claude Rains, he's the tramp who phones the police to say: 'I've just seen the Invisible Man!' In the film, Phil Silvers didn't sing at all, though he did play Pseudolus in the 70's revival of the show.
My best suggestion is to choose a song you like that shows off your voice to its best advantage. Any of the 'patter songs' from Gilbert and Sullivan would suffice; Pannic has already mentioned 'As Someday It May Happen' from 'The Mikado'. (At least, I *think* that's the one meant.) You might also consider 'An Ordinary Man' from 'My Fair Lady', which is balladic and forceful by turns.
Whatever you choose, we wish you luck.

Robin, are you confusing Lycus with Miles? Miles has to be virile and loud, being the braggart soldier; Lycus is a merchant, and a rather timid one at that. Unctious and pandering would be more along his line, I think.
If you listen to the original cast album, you can hear John Carradine's one line (I think it's 'I'll get some new girls') in the finale. Not very prepossessing, as befits Lycus.
If both characters sound the same, there could be some confusion.

Chemo brain strikes again. I saw Miles. It's Marcus. I'm so sorry for the confusion (I've done the show three times...it's stupid cognitive disorder from the chemotherapy. Yeesh. Thanks for the correction)

*If* a given production uses 'House of Marcus Lycus'. When we did it several years ago, it wasn't included in the scripts or scores we used. <sigh> Too bad; I really like that number.
