what to list on a resume

Sat in on an aud last night and noticed people giving us their COMPLETE resumes. Like with their print, commercial, voice over, and movie work. I always leave all that crap off for theater auditions. I only use my full resume when I'm going to a commercial/voice over/etc aud or when I'm soliciting agents.

Second, some actors listed every role they've ever been in. A 60 year old man had every role all the way back to when he was in college squished into an excel-looking chart. I don't think that's necessary, do you? I think 10 to 15 really meaningful credits should do it. Who cares about those extras if they don't add much.

Third, what do you think about pictures in addition to your headshot? One woman last night had an AWESOME headshot. The main shot took up 75% of the page, but she had a slightly smaller character shot in the corner. It was formatted really professionally and I liked it. Another guy had a whole collage of pictures of him in different roles, with the dates and the awards he was nominated for on the pictures. Didn't like that so much. It was a conversation starter, but I don't think it ultimately affected the casting decision.
