Hello. Can anyone suggest a few great songs to sing if i wanted to go for gigi? Or what musicals i should be looking at - besides Miss Saigon -to find a song.

It depends whether you consider yourself an alto (the F below middle C to the D a ninth above middle C) or a mezzo-soprano (the A below middle C to the A two octaves above)
I think Gigi is meant to be an alto.

Some famous alto songs:
- "Stay With Me" from Into The Woods
- "Spanish Rose" from Bye Bye Birdie
- "A Boy Like That" from West Side Story
- "Far From The Home I Love" from Fiddler on the Roof

However, Gigi could be classified as a mezzo-soprano:
- "I Dreamed A Dream" from Les Miserables (sung by Fantine)
- anything 'Suzuki' sings in Madame Butterfly
- "I Don't Know How To Live Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar

I'd recommend "Is this home?" from Beauty and the Beast, or "On My Own" from Les Miserables, or even "Think of Me" from Phantom.

"Is This Home?" sounds good, but "On My Own" is too overdone. "Think of Me" would show off your voice (only if you can do it right) but is nothing like what Gigi sings.

Isn't 'Think of Me' a sporano part? *shrugs* I think 'On My Own' would be good, personally.
