what song should I sing at my audition?hey guys!
Well im trying out Beauty and the Beast this year (going for Belle) and im having a hard time picking out a song for my audition. I was thinking of singing A New Life from Jekyll and Hyde..its an awesome song for my voice but im not sure if it will be a good idea because i think its way different then what belle would sing and i was thinking of singing home from the show because they said it was fine to sing a song from the show but im still not sure..im a really big belter like a linda eder for example..should i show them that in a new life or just play it safe and go with home..im so confused..haha..help..thanks

I think that even though you can use a song from the show, you should steer clear from it. I'd go with A new life, its a great song. Maybe even Someone Like You would work.

Someone Like You would be perfect. I auditioned for Belle last year and in hindsight, wished I had chosen to do this song- it is absolutely perfect for the role, theme of the show, etc. However, if the director is in fact allowing you to sing "Home", then go for it!
