What should I see?I am goign to NYC April 9th through 13. We, me and a few friends, have some shows in mind but I am wondering what is a must see right now and that i will regret not seeing. So if anyone has any input i would appreciate it! Thanks everyone!

Well, what shows have you seen recently?
I would suggest seeing Les Mis because the current cast is red-hot and will only be here for a limited time (god, I sound like an advertisement, but Lea Salonga and Aaron Lazar will only be sharing the stage for another month.) Curtains also seems to be getting a lot of attention, you may want to see it with David Hyde Peirce and the entire original cast.

Check out Wicked.
I think it plays every day but Monday, just to let you know.
Have fun in NYC!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Mine is take a pass on Wicked and see something like The Drowsy Chaperone or Spring Awakening. Opposite ends of the spectrum, but both fantastic shows.
Depends on what you and your friends are into!

I agree, try to see Les Mis with the original (except Lea, but she should have been 'original' anyway) cast. Or Wicked. Or if you're into Disney, catch Beauty and the Beast before it closes, if you've not seen it.

How much are you willing to spend on tickets? And how old are you?
If you want a good piece of "adult" theater, you shouldn't miss "Grey Gardens" and "Spring Awakening."
If you want fluff that's decently written, try to get into "Spamalot." If you want popular, but bad, go see "Wicked." Or, if you don't want to spend massive amounts of money, go to the TKTS booth and see what they have available.

If it's your first show, I recommend in this order:
1. Les Miserables
2. Rent
3. Phantom of the Opera
4. Avenue Q
5. Beauty & the Beast

If you want to see pop-trash, then go see Wicked.

If its your first Broadway show and are only seeing one, I would def recommend Les Mis. Again, new cast, great big musical. It's the spectacle filled musical that's actually good.
Again, Spring Awakenings is amazing too. But if it's your first, go all out and hit up Les Mis.

Spring Awakening = AMAZING.
But. For your first show, I concur with the people above me and say stick with Les Mis.
