Also, I agree that Morning Glow is my least favorite! It's a pretty song, but deathly boring when you're in the chorus. all "ahhh" and then it's too high for me as well! I just dropped the octave, that's how bad it was. I'm an alto, not a soprano!!

I like Magic To Do, as well. Especially since it has my solo.

I tried to put Magic to Do on as the last option... but it cut it off for some reason. I don't know, why and I was quite distraught, as that is one of my favorite songs.

I can't name one song I don't like from "Pippin"...they are all cool or beautiful (or both!). Some favorites: "I Guess I'll Miss the Man", "The Flesh" (instrumental), "With You", "Simple Joys", "On the Right Track"...and I'm really starting to like "Love Song". (I used to think it was stupid, but ever since I sang it with my unrecquited crush, I love it.) My favorite out of these? Probably "Simple Joys"...not on the list, however.

I can't believe you don't like Morning Glow. I hate slow songs, but this one was just so pretty. We had such good guys that year, so the ahhs sounded awesome. One night we got a standing ovation when the guys started, and it continued until after the end of the song. It was the coolest moment I have ever had during a show. Ohh, it was amazing. People cried every night, both in the audience and in the show. We had candles, and I don't know, it was simply staged, but it was gorgeous. Just my thoughts. I don't have a favorite song. I like most all of them.

AHHHH!!! Soccergirl i agree 100% exactly the same when i did pippin. We had an AMAZING guy, we had candles, simple staging, ect. but it got people crying. By far my most favorite song in the entire lot.

"Right Track" without a doubt. I love the edge it's got and it shows the relationship between Pippin and Leading Player REALLY well. Definitely one of the best.

ya i definately agree, "The Right Track" is one of the best songs in the show, its just too catchy. I played Pippin in my show, and I tried to see if for the last show I could be the LP and the LP could be Pippin, just cause i wanted to sing that song. Haha, i worked it into my history exam somehow and got a B+, it was on the roman empire.

My FAVORITE is In Just No Time At All..... but that's not on the list. lol. So I voted for Glory- cause I like that the best out of the choices. I also LOVE Magic to Do and On the Right Track. But I have to agree with everyone else, there's not really any songs that I DON'T like (except maybe Love Song... it gets on my nerves after a while lol)

Hmm, decisions, decisions. I like way too many songs from this show.

1. Magic to Do (when I first got the Pippin CD and this song played, I thought to myself, "I'm gonna like this CD.")
2. With You (at first I thought it was just a pretty love song, not an orgy number; whatever it is, a beautiful song)
3. Corner of the Sky (great piano intro)

I would probably have to say "on the right track" but our dance teacher so ruined because she has the worst moves EVER! i still like the song but wish i had a better dance for it, rather than wiggling my hips around for 5 mins! my other favourite songs would be glory because our leading player is the greatest and makes it so good. and kind of woman cause i get to do some ooohh's!! woo! my least favourite song and i dont think anyone has said it is the finale, as the whole cast hates it even the teachers, how sucky is it! peace out

I've grown attatched to "Corner of the Sky." I even used it when I auditioned for my local professional theater group. I didn't get a part but it was a great experience, so I'm glad I used a song I knew and was comfortable with.

My LEAST favorite song is "Love Song" for this years production at my school we are putting on Pippin and I am playing the part of Catherine and every time me and "Pippin" have to sing this song is hard not to laugh espically at the "Lavender soap and lotions" part... and it doesn't help that my "Pippin" knows I hate this line and bat's his eyes at me during practice to see if I can keep a straight face lol.

But all in all I think all of the songs are rather catchy and they never seem to get out of your head lol.

Mmmmmm..............That is hard one to pin down....I think it's a tie between "Magic to Do" & "Morning Glow" I love the harmonies behind both of them....they are beautiful!!! I know with "Morning Glow'" The Chrous really just sings 'Aahhs' and then joins in at a few points but it really adds to the song!!
Last summer when I performed in it our director had us all line up on the front of the stage and just sing through it, we weren't to look at anyone, just focus on back to the room and just feel the music and think about what we were singing. It was amazing!! When we actually performed the song, our director had tears in her eyes......Awesome moment for all of us

Morning Glow. This was my first show when I started doing musicals in my sophomore year of HS. The cast (me included) had no clue how powerful this song would be when we actually performed it for an audience. It was one of the best feelings you could get when you finish the song.
