What's the UK Tour of StEx like?

Has anyone seen the UK tour? I missed my chance when it stopped off near me but from what I've heard about it, maybe that's a good thing. And I've seen some footage of the coaches and they looked like sad Pussycat doll reject...what HAS been done to those once beautiful costumes?

Maybe this version of StEx wasn't so bad if seen in person?

About the costumes... the sad answer is that NOTHING has been done to them. They're in screaming need of replacement, but NO MONEY has been spent on this production for far too long. The constant cutting-back of songs, characters, cast downgrades, costume dilapidation, scenery cutbacks - it's a disgrace.

The production company should be ashamed of itself.

On the plus side, the cast and band and crew do a superlative job with what they have - the old Starlight magic still comes through - but they have to work so HARD now. Perhaps things will improve when the tour goes to Scandinavia - who knows, they might even give the coaches decent leggings again!

there are many videos on you tube that have tour clips. all thoe seeing a flying Electra is rather disturbing.

I loved the uk tour Smile

still partial to the Bocham version myself. Kinda liked the Original Broadway a bit, but really like the UK tour better then the US tour hands down. (from what I've seen)

I saw the tour in 2005, it was really good, would have prefeered it if they actually came into the audience like the London version. This is the onyl time I've saw StEx fo I can't compare.

Starlite Express is probably a good, if possibly generous, way to describe it.

I really liked the tour, but then i'd never seen the original in the west end. I knew the music before I saw it and thought the cast were excellent. The 3-D thing they do doesnt make up for not having tracks around the theatre but then its a touring production so you couldnt really expect that!

Its just a magical show, and although the stage was tiny and the costumes maybe werent the best, i still had some moments where i'd gasp at the skating and where the hair on the back of my neck stood up at the singing.

excellent!

It's a huge shame they don't get to do more.
