What's the most famous song from Into The Woods?

I asked my mom if she knew the show, and she asked me to sing the most famous song from it. Which got me curious...

I don't know, maybe Children will listen or moments in the woods or no one is alone? But no song is particularly famous outside the show, I think.

I think Children will Listen.

Artists have recorded it independently of a cast recording:

Barbra Streisand, Mandy Patinkin, Betty Buckley, to name a few...and an episode of Desperate Housewives was named Children Will Listen.
Luc

Children Will Listen, and Giants in the Sky, and Last Midnight.
High-baritonne

Children will Listen is the only song from Into the Woods that most of my friends have heard, and they are everything from 13-19 years old, so for my age group I think Children Will Listen is the most popular.

Children Will Listen. No question.

Most shows have a song that they are defined by.
Like Godspell it was Day by Day
Or Grease was either Grease Lightning or We Go Together
Damn Yankees Was Heart

So I guess you just have to go with this show and look to what its message is and I would say that would make the famous song be "children will listen"

Being Jack I am going to say Giants...lol...Just kidding....
I think everyone is pretty much right..Children Will Listen is the most popular...Only because it seems to define the entire show.
Salome

No one is Alone

it was the anthem for the Broadway Fights AIDS for year as well as being recorded by various artists over the years.

I think Children Will Listen is the most famous, but "Into The Woods" (the part of the prologue that's repeated a few times throughout the show with some variations) is most familiar to most people. IMO, it's the most "catchy" and it's been performed at the 1988 and 2002 Tony's (as part of a medley, but whatever.)

"Children Will Listen" and "No One Is Alone." They're the two most famous, I'd have to say...basically for the reasons everyone stated.
