What part to audition for?I have a FOTR audition coming up, and i'm looking into what part(s) to audition for. I'm 5'4" and i have brown hair, blue eyes and freckles. I'm an alto/mezzo, and I'm in HS. Any help would be great. Thanks!

You sound right for one of the three oldest daughters, Tzeital, Hodel, or Chava. Tzeital is the oldest and sings the comic part of Matchmaker. She gets married at the end of act 1, but she's in the whole show- although depending on your directors point of view you may be a little short for her...a lot of times the sisters are stairstepped, but not always. Hodel has a solo in act two and is the middle daughter, although depending on your range you may or may not want to go for her...she is usually a mezzo or a soprano, but she has a great song...and then Chava is the youngest of the three and has the big acting scene/ballet sequence in the second act. If you dance and handle dramatic acting well, that might be a good one to go for.

what theatre company is this for?..community, high school?....also what's your age range.....tzeitel and chava would be good for you vocally I think..but golde is also a mezzo, Hodel is too but she is more on the soprano side than alto. Also are you a dancer at all?
