I've done the show one time. My role however through out the course of the show changed between parts.
I started out as the chorus and understudy for Sandy and Cha-Cha
Then our first Rizzo dropped and our understudy took over so I became Rizzo's understudy. When Rizzo dropped out I became Rizzo. I ended up sharing the role. It was so much fun. I really loved being able to play something that was so different from anything else that I had ever played before.

I've done Grease a few times witrh various companies. I began as Frenchie, then Jan, then Sandy. Then, with a few friends from a youth theatre I used to belong to, a strange twist of events ended with be being cast as Danny! It was great fun, though.

Yeah I ended up standing in for Danny for a group of teens when their Danny dropped out. It was very nice of me becasue I'm a girl. A thin girl.
I've only been chorus aside from that. We got to make up character names though. Mine was "Rhonda". I got the idea from Grease 2. That movie is awesome yet awful at the same time.

I just finished playing Marty about a month ago.

It was a great part to play. One of the very fun, but underestimated, Pink Ladies. I dont know why so many girls get so upset about being a pink lady. They are great fun, and it is so different from the movie. They have a much more substantial role...

We just did Grease in April, and it was loads of fun. I played Sonny, that was loads of fun. Even though he didnt had a solo or a duet, doesnt mean it cant be fun. A lot of people seem to forget about the character Sonny, so I made him memorable. Loved being in Grease, wished it lasted longer.

I played Rizzo my junior year of high school.

I was a drama kid but had never sung before anyone besides my shower head. I went into auditions and blew all the choir kids away, there are still people who are aggravated about it.... i'm in college now. Sad. lol

I'm going to audition up in Northern Cali, I was never able to do it in high school. That musical was on the list among others that the drama program was not allowed to do.

We just closed Grease last week... I played Vince Fontaine. A few years ago I played Kenickie... it's a fun show and the audience always loves it!

I did two productions back to back with the same company (I was in a drama canp and then moved up to the more advanced version of the same camp, the same summer so it was eight weeks of Grease..lol) I was Jan in the first one (they cut mooning though ) and then I was Eugene, which ended up being fun since I was the youngest and since I'm a girl it made him more feminine ( I got to wear Keds with rhinestones). Then I got cast as Jan in another production, but ended up unable to do the show.

yeah..we only had like two or three guys..lol. and only one could sing so he was Kenickie. our Danny, Roger, Doody, Sonny, and basically the rest of the burger palace boys were girls, and the Danny was the best Danny that I've ever seen or dont the show with (besides John Travolta of course) the other guy was Vince because he was a great actor but couldn't sing or dance.

I did it in 7th grade... You know that scene in the drive-in movie where Danny and Sandy are watching the movie, and they have the famous ring-giving-ring-flinging scene? Well, in our version, there were four of us girls that we in the movie. They had this big fake frame-like screen and we were standing on a platform... I was "Shirley," the damsel in distress in a Werewolf horror flick. It was really a lot of fun... we'd be silently screaming and trying to kill this werewolf while sandy and danny are wrapped up in their own little world.

I was just in the ensemble, but I made up my little dance during the sock hop and it was awesome.

Surprisingly, I still have mostly all the words to "We Go Together" memorized and I did the show four years ago.

I played Eugene and the Teen Angel in the same production. It was really cool what we did, i started out Beauty School Dropout as Eugene then all the angels came around me and took of the eugene stuff (it was velcro) and i had and Elvis suite under that. It was awsome!

I've done the show 3 times, and I love it even more everytime that I do it. The first time I was just chorus/backup burger palace boy. The second time I was doody (Magic Changes is honestly the best song in the show. It is the most 50's-esque), and then I played Sonny, seeing as my voice changed. If anyone has the chance to do this show, do it. Yes it is dirtier than the movie, but that is what makes it fun.

In a semi-professional Grease, I say this because it was a professional theater, but I personally was not paid, I played Johnny Casino. Loved it!
