I performed in The Music Man musical three or four years ago as a pit violinist and there were various types of characters in the show. What character fits you depend on what you're looking for.

If you need a more detailed character description I recommend watching The Music Man movies. There's an old and new version available. Both are good, but the new version replaced one of the leading lady's song with another. Watching might give you a better grasp on the person behind each character. But if you want your performance to remain strictly original to you then you might want to skip the movies and just reading the synopsis. Hope this helps!
