What aud are you looking forward to the most this year?

What audition are you most looking forward to that is coming up within the next year or so?

I'm most looking forward to auditioning for my first ballet, the Nutcracker. Then after that, I'm most looking forward to auditioning for West Side Story. I would love love love to be Maria. So much great dancing, challenging singinger, and hard dancing in that role!

There were two for me. They've both already passed: West Side Story and Urinetown. I made WSS, and opening night was last Friday. I just auditioned for Urinetown a few days ago, so I don't know if I made it or not.

You wouldn't happen to be from Morristown, would you? I auditioned for Urinetown too! And I saw WSS twice last weekend(I was helping with box office.) It's really great.

Maria is the most challenging vocally for a female, but that role usually doesn't entail as much dancing as the other shark girls and Anita. Just lettin' ya know! Very Happy

Into the Woods

Just finished auditioning for Into the Woods. I have wanted to be in the show for a long time, love it. I want Cinderella's Prince and the Wolf, but our acting group's perennial leading man will probably get it. I may have talked the director into another double, Steward and Wolf, and that would suit me fine. I just want to be in the show, but want a solo number. Now the waiting game is in full swing. Arrgh!

I have to say the winter musical at my school...though our upcoming shows haven't been announced. There are so few good singers at our school, and this year we had some people playing multiple featured roles in our musical because so few people auditioned.

My senior year we are doing Shakespeare, so I only have two more high school musicals. Crying or Very sad

However, I'm also looking forward to auditioning for The Scarlet Pimpernel next summer.
Holly

There's a theatre around here where a lot of the theatre kids do shows...I've never done one but I'm going to be auditioning for their fall show. It's something a little different so I'm looking forward to that. Smile

Well, I'm not from Morristown, but I live near there... But that's awesome! Which audition for Urinetown did you go to? And I'm glad you liked WSS! ((I tried to PM you, but it wouldn't let me for some reason))...

I will be auditioning for Into the Woods in August. I would really love to be Jack. I'm also curious about my school's musical next year, but I guess I'll just have to wait for that one!
