Warming up in the morningI have a huge issue getting completely warmed up in the morning. I just have such a hard time getting into my registers. It takes forever.
Does anyone have any good warm up exercises (tenor oriented maybe) that will help me warm up better for an early audition. I can't go sounding like a bass!

I always do the same warm-ups, and they last about 40 minutes (30 if I rush). I need to do the same pattern every time, or I get all in a funk. Do you take voice lessons? I brought a tape-recorder to a lesson and taped my warm ups, and warm up to that. If you don't have a teacher, I'd start with breathing excercises (always), and then do humming, and gentle vocalizing. Don't push your voice.

Am I weird if I don't really need to warm up?

Yessss.
Unless it's like, after you've been awake and talking? My choir class is last period, and by that time my vocal chords are usually warmed up enough cause I've been talking all day...but if I don't do my breathing and range extension, I sound unsupported and don't have enough resonance in my sound.
Lucky ho!!!

In the morning I never need a warmup...Oddly enough, my voice tends to be flawless right after I wake up/early in the day. Any other time though I need it.
