Billy goes quite high - in De-Lovely and All Through the Night he sings a high F.
Reno has to be able to sing from G below the stave to a D, but I think Patti LuPone goes a little higher, maybe to an E in Blow Gabriel Blow.
If anyone knows more, feel free to correct me.
Hope that helps.

It depends on which version you're doing. Things tend to be lower in the 1962 version than they are in the 1985.
The 1962 is my specialty one, so I'll talk about it. Billy's highest note is an F in "You're the Top." He doesn't go terribly low. Most baritones could do it, but he tends to be a tenor because of his type.
Reno is really low. She has low G's and F's all over the place. She also goes up to a high F in the finale (which isn't on the recording). She has D's and E's in a few other places, which what's-her-name on the recording just belts out in a vampy speaking voice. If you're doing this version, you need the Queen of the Altos.

I really wish they'd do this version at my community theater, then... my voice is too low to be useful for anything, normally. The low G and F are my best friends.
