Monsieur D'Arque

The "official" vocal score is avaliable through MTI, and is a terrible quality scan, but often considered definitive. The "better" copy is the revival score, which is reorchestrated for more vocal harmonies in the girl group, as well as to include a horn section. The score is computerized, and a few songs, notably Dentist! are transposed up a key or two for Douglas Sills's voice, originating the part in the revival. It's a better score, especially if you have Urchins who don't mind a little extra vocal work. It's not for sale, and MTI doesn't give it out, but if you talk to Broadway score collectors, it's really quite common. I've known a few community productions to use it, as it's easier for the pianist as well as the singers to read the music.
