Pippin actually goes up to an Ab, which is just a half step difference from the G. However a lot of voice classification has to do not only with the vocal range of the role, but the desired timbre of the voice, which is why I think the role of Pippin is more suited for a tenor or a baritone who has a light voice, as opposed to some bari's who have a "thicker" sound. However would a baritone have to switch into major falsetto to get to some of the top notes in Pippin's range, where many tenors can still sing those notes full voice?
Leading Player: Also has to hit the Ab, so the role is probably best suited for a tenor as well or a baritone with a good high range.
Catherine: Mezzo, tops off at a Db I believe.
Fastrada: I've seen her listed as both a mezzo and a soprano. It honestly depends. The role isn't all that terribly high so its easily doable by both. I think she only goes to about an E5.
Charlemange: Bass/Bari (highest note is an E4)
Berthe: Alto
and then of course there's Lewis, which isn't a singing role
