Vocal range - please quick help!

Hello, I'm still alive and I've been checking the board everyday. Anyways, I need a quick help from whomever is reading now my post. I know that somewhere in this forum, someone made a list of each character required vocal range. Tomorrow morning I am giving a class for a little choir of girls (though I'm not their official teacher and I don't really know much about music). The thing is that their official teacher has asked me to show them a video of a musical. I've thought of Cats because he will be able to compare it later on with the work he wants to do about Opera. So I've just thought to give those little girls auditive/visual examples of the different voice ranges that they already know (soprano, mezzo, contralto, tenor, baritone...etc) And I think Cats can be of a nice help.

So, I really need now that list that was posted here or a similar one with the required vocal ranges for each character, so that I can tell them "see? Munkustrap is an example of a baritone" (I'm just guessing) and so on. These little girls attend primary school Smile

Please help me as soon as you can tonight (well, in Spain is night time Wink )

The thing with those is they don't say the bottom of the range as well. Bombalurina certainly goes lower than Demeter does. I wouldn't really call Mungojerrie, Skimbleshanks and Tugger Baritone either, more tenor.
Toxic

ooh but 99% of all mungos are definately baritones...skimble vary in baritenors and baritones , tuggers can be both, true.
Mungojerrie_rt

There seems to be two tones of MJ&RT. One (like the Vienna and Hamburg recordings) with a Baritone and Alto, one (like the film, Australian, Czech, Polish) with a Tenor and Mezzo.
Toxic

erm, not really....if you tell me that kristi mancini the most squeekiest rumple ever(Hamburg/Stuttgart) is an alto...then NOPE! Wink
rumples are never altos.
it's hard to judge the range of voices through the recordings.

but rumples are always mezzos and mungos most of times baritones.
in all productions. no matter which version they use.

I was refoering to the Original Hamburg recording, with a lower tone. That, aand I am going by tone, not notes. Drew Varley, Filip Groger, John Thornton all sound higher and lighter than the Hamburg and Vienna recordings (whos names escape me and I can't be bothered opening excel to look it up.)
