But some people (such as... everyone) find that to be a very bad thing indeed. People go to see theatre to see a different take on the story, or a different version. If everything's exactly like the movie, why not save $5 (or even 100s, depending on where you are seeing it) and sit at home and watch it? That's my two cents.

The singing and acting was really good, but the show, like the accents, was too much like the movie. And I couldn't see a yellow brick road! Where was it?!?! | ||||||

well..thank you.for the yellow brick road. the directors only put it in some scenes. and sometimes in other scenes they would use lights to create a yellow brick road on the stage. it looks pretty awesome. |

True for everything except The Wizard of Oz. Said as simply as possible, generally, audiences tend to be more critical of this show if it isn't like the movie. Personally, I would love to see an original spin on this show, but only if it's done well. The problem is just that when many theatres try to put their own twist, it just comes off as a failed attempt. |

To each their own. Sometimes, original spins are NOT good. If I see an amatuer show, I want it to be just like the broadway, etc. If you are used to a story, you want to see it the way you are used to. Not some weird adaptation. |

very nice! I wish I could post some videos of mine... but I don't know how haha (i'm bad with computers). Honestly (no offense to the other two) but I thought you were the best of the three. Even though I understand the others only had a very limited part in that scene. | ||||||

thanks. i have a dvd recording of my show. so i recorded it off my camera. and posted it to youtube. thats the easiest way i could figure out. aahha. |
