There are so many different versions of Cabaret (4, i think?) and I don't know which songs go with which versio nand which version most amature companies purchase.
Does anyone want to be an absolute sweetheart and answer this question once and for all? How many different versions are there? (Both rights out and rights not out) Which songs go with which version? (I think the Telephone song only appears in the first version, Maybe This Time appears in the last two, Mein Herr I dunno...) Which version do most people purchase rights for? Is there only one version available? |

There are two available: 1966 Original Broadway and 1987 Revival. There is also the film version and the 1998 Alan Cumming revival. Those are all of the versions I can think of (if you don't count all of the community theatres and colleges who have created their own versions, adding and deleting songs). |
