Ursula?!?!

Hi,

We are having tryouts soon and I was thinking of trying out for Ursula … I was just wondering what kind of skills you need to play her and how many lines she has. Thank you ever so much

Be really, really obnoxious, nasal, and annoying. She loves Conrad just SO much, she's an obsessive fangirl. So, if you can act annoying (but not to the point where the audience hates you- just be hyper and overenthusiastic), you'll be just fine.

Also. Practice a really good scream.

Umm, Ursula has quite a bit of lines- she's not by any means a lead character, but it's quite a decent part.

One thread normally does the trick for me, not two.

That's great that you want our help, but only do it once.

I was just cast as Ursula, and she does have quite a few lines. The only bad thing (in my opinion Sad ) is that she doesn't have any solos in songs.

Ursula is a beautiful role.
she has no idea that she's annoying.
no idea that the amount she loves Conrad isnt normal.
she's just enthusiastic... she's fantastic!

Personally I think Ursula is a really fun character. She leads a lot of the We love you Conrad" stuff as well. She's enthusiastic, fun, rambuctious, and a little bit on the raunchy naive side. (Can you even put those words together right?) Like the "Lets have an orgy!" line....She's crazy....oh yeah, and the "reduced me to a raving snarling beast" line...or something like that! Very Happy Have fun with it!

Her part is medium, but its the biggest of the fangirls. So if you don't want to be motherly, Rosie, or Kim, go for Ursula. Break a Leg!

she has like 15 lines, not too many.

I played Ursula in my 1st high school show--it was SO much fun and I got to scream a lot. During the "stake out" of the McAfee house, when we sang "We Love YOu Conrad like 1000 times" we got to eat chips while we sang so that we were spitting them out while we screeched the song--HIlarious;) Just get comfortable with Conrad! I had to attach myself to his leg and then during the "orgy" scene, I threw myself into his arms and he dropped me flat on the ground when the adults got there--learn how to do a good stage fall!

It didn't help that Conrad was my high school ex.

Ouch. The ex- thing, not the fall.
I'm not Ursula, but I'm good friends with the girl who is. Yeah, like everyone else says, be over-the-top-hyper-enthusiastic. And get used to the Conrad Birdie theme song. The way we're doing it, Ursula is in the teen trio (don't know if that's how it's written, but, whatever...) Also, get used to screaming alot. And when you do the line "...snarling, raging..." whatever... be a snarling, raging whatever.
And that's all Igot to say about that...

you've also got to understand that not only is ursula a very hyper girl, she's also very..how do i say this..eager to do things for Conrad. She'll do ANYTHING for him, if you get what I mean. Try to convey the message that Conrad is really trying to score with a couple of jailbait girls. That's my opinion, anyway.
ursulamerkle07

i was in ursula last summer.

she has about 20 lines or so.

It was awesome.
Be very hyper and peppy, nasaly, and annoying. Be loud and somewhat obnoxious.
