So I have heard rumors of our theatre doing Evita and Wizard of Oz next year. I was wondering what parts, if any, I should consider auditioning for? I have a picture below. I am 5 foot 7, medium build. I am a belter with a range to a D. I can also sing a soprano range up nearly another octave (A-B when warmed up properly).



Also, this director is big on audition numbers from the show so if you could suggest a song to look into and a type of monologue (comedic, dramatic) for each role. I would <3 you forever.

For Evita you could audition for Peron's mistress. It is a small part but the only other girl in the show besides Eva. For the Wizard of Oz I don't know...I'm not getting a dorothy vibe from you but I don't know your group.

I don't get much of a Dorothy vibe from myself tbh. But it would still be nice to get to eb the leading lady one of these times. Hehe.

For Peron's Mistress sing "So What Happeneds Now?" from the show if you have to use sometihng from it. I don't know why you need a monolouge from Evita as there is no talking in it...

Glinda isn't a bad part in Wizard of Oz - the Wicked Witch of the West is more fun, but she doesn't sing at all. Glinda has quite a big song in the Munchkinland scene.[/i]

I could see you as evita. Somtimes it is tough to tell off of one picture. I dont know, pull your hari back into a old school bun and use a crap ton of lipstick.... I can kind of see it. But I definantly see perons mistress in that picture. I m sure that you wouldnt just be the mistress also. The director most likely be having you be a descamisado. Which include a bunch of bit parts. I was very skeptical about auditioning for Evita but now that I am in it the show is a blast.

also the song is "Another Suitcase in Another Halll' not "So What Happens Now".

and if a group pics a show like Evita..they already have an Eva picked. at any rate you look too young for eva. go for the Mistress, girl.
