Hi!

I am auditioning at a University for Performance Acting and I need to "Do" a play in three minutes. I am thinking I want to do some kind of Musical Theatre simply (and I know this sounds like I am self-absorbed but I am really not) to show off the fact that I can sing. I already have my other two monologues pick and memorized but I need to "do" a play in three minutes.. and no, they did not give us any clarification of "do".. what, in your opinion, would be the easiest musical to sing lines from, have it flow nicely, and still portray the entire play?

Any help would be GREATLY appriciated!

a bit of advice here...dont do a musical! they asked for a play. being doing a musical your suggesting to the pannel that you dont know the difference, plus they want to see your acting skills, otherwise they would have asked you to prepare a song.

however...if you are going to stick with the idea of a musical i would go for song and dance as it's a one person show..one female part too so you wouldnt have to worry too much about changing character and worrying about the range of the parts, but seriously...i wouldnt do a musical! with uni auditions (i have had 3 this year) do what they ask.
