UK Tour - just seen

I saw CATS for the very first time this afternoon!

Really enjoyed it - the make up, costumes, lighting and set design were fantastic

The energy of the cast was amazing - one actor in particular was Rum Rum Tigger - very sexy Wink Laughing

I still don't like the actual musical but very impressed with what I saw

What theatre did you see it at?

And in the UK tour do the cats come and dance in the audience like usual?

I'm going to see the UK tour in the summer and I can't wait.

I saw it at the Princess Theatre in Torquay.

Sold out performance which is still amazing seeing as it has been in Devon for two weeks!

Yes the cats came and ran into the audience - scared me though hee hee

Im going to see Cats in May, Where do you all think the best place to sit?

I usually aim for up close. I don't care for the very front row as I don't like looking up the performers' noses (no offence to those on here!) but I usually aim for about rows 3-10. It's close enough to see everything but not close enough to get muscle cramps in your neck from looking straight up.

But, even on tour, the Cats stage/set is usually lower than normal with how they set it up etc so I have never once found myself having to look up in London or on tour.
Personally, they are my fav seats (front row) asd you get the most cast interaction and it's the most fun, however if you're not keen, then sitting at least front stalls somewhere, even if a few rows back, is your best bet. Get an isle seat if you can if you are there, you'll then get the characters often coming up to you.

Usuall I prefer to sit a box or the first row of the circle / balcony (whatever people wanna call it) but for Cats I like to sit a couple rows back, next to the aisle.
