Uk Tour Jellicles really can and do! (just a trip report :P)Wow...went to see the uk tour last night and it was totally fantastic...I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! They're really a great cast!
Jellicle songs was fab! I was sooo tempted to shove my phone in my beanie hat and record it, (being the mental jellicle songs fan I am) but sadly I chickened out lol. Anyway, munk (dean maynard??) has a really lovely voice (very warm and rich), Bill Bailey came out on the trapeze upside down (lol - cute!) and Bombalurina done the first part of jellicle songs on the stairs. I was really impressed with it all, they're all an insanely talented bunch!
The naming of cats was great too, if not a bit freaky lol! I don't think anyone was really watching the stage to tell you the truth, just Carbucketty who was sitting with a girl across from me, who was also reciting the poem with him . (Cats groupies unite!!) She was loving it lol.
Gumbie cat was brilliant! Jenny was very funny and Bomba, Demeter and Jellylorum were fab too!
Ohh no..the Rum Tum Tugger was totally hilarious! Gary Watson is fantastic Tugger! He has a great mick jaggeresque type voice! I actually really liked victoria in this number as she was more kittenish than I'd ever seen her. She was actually more like an Etcetera. Even though she never done the scream she was certainly the most hyper out the bunch.
And wasn't I totally shocked!? Tugger ran off the stage during his "attack the audience" bit, walked up the aisle and stopped at me! I was like "nooooooooooo....", (well actually I was more like "yesssssss!"..but shhh). He sat on my lap, put his arm around me, shoved his tail in my mouth (my mouth was kinda hanging open in suprise) and then said, "Hey baby! You enjoying the show?" I think I must have went scarlet at this point cos he started laughing while I stumbled over my words. God I didn't have a clue what to do or where to look. He then streched out on top of me so I gave his maine a quick ruffle (and he done the same to my hair) and then he went off. My mate tash was like "if only I had a camera - your face!" Lol, that totally made my night Man, I was grinning from ear to ear.
Griz was very emotional! Big thumbs up to her, she seemed to get the biggest cheer of the night.
Bustopher jones was was really hilarious too. While Jenny was singing he waddled up to three old ladies at the front, gave them a wee bow and said "laydeeees", then winked. He also spent half the song poking his spoon thing in Carbucketty's face while he swiped at it .
Mungojerry and Rumpelteazer were fab! Mungo is really cheeky aint he? But in a seriously cute and charming was of course lol
Old Deut was cool - Misto ran up the aisle to get him and came back with him looking slightly disorientated lol.
Peaks and the pollicles was great, specially with tugger walking around behind munk giving random hip thrusts lol.
Jellicle Ball was amazing! Some seriously cool dancing happened there and of course Memory was as emotional as ever!

Thought I'd split it into two posts cos I never realised how long my first one was (sorry lol) - I'll make this quick!
During the interval I got my prog signed by Old Deut who was up on the stage. My god, me and my mate Tash were so excited just to be standing on the stage, along with all the wee kiddies (man we're so mature lol:P).
Skimble also came out during the interval and nuzzled this little girl to death (awww ), went down the front...done some wierd on wonderful things with his legs and then went on to totally mess up this woman's hair .
Moments of happiness - good stuff.
Gus - was ok, I was mostly watching mungo and alonzo play on the cooker.
Growltiger/Ballad of Billy McCaw - Lol, I loved it. It's fast becoming my fave song! The Pirates were Brilliant!
Skimble was seriously great! He's so camp lol And has a great scottish accent during "do you like your morning tea.."
Macavity was good too- Bomba and Demeter were very sexy.
Mr Mistofelees was amazing. It was Kevin McGuire playing him and i think I counted 23 conjuring turns and he blew out the spot light at the end which got a giggle.
What can I say, the rest was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed it, plus Alonzo came up to us with his bucket (collecting for children in need), which my friend tash was seriously squealy about.
So all in all it was a fantastic night! They are such a great cast!
P.s Misto, what did you think of it!?? (I know your off 2day to see it.)

I has Alex Durrant as Misto.... And a swing (I'll get his name later - it's not on the site) blayed Bill Bailey.
AMAZING! Maybe better than the UK Tour III???? I was 4th row (stalls). I will do a really detailed review later...... Loads and loads of interaction..........
And question: Since when has Alex started being Misto u/s? I saw him play it on the last tour (in the same theatre), but he wasn't listed in the brochure... I'll check the programme......
But, I was amazed!!!
And, ermm..... I done something "strictly prohibited" during the 2nd Act.... The 1st Act didn't come out.........

Thanks a lot, Pawzxx!!!!
Now, except for Zak Nemorin, that I saw once in the ensemble of "Chicago", I don't know anybody in this cast. I can't wait to see them all!

Pawzxx It's fantastic that you enjoyed the show! Good news that Dianne as Griz was still soo good as I have seen.
And how was Louisa Barrat as Jemima? I had Carrie Sutton and she may be good for Siamese, but definitely not for 'big-eyed-cute-little-kitten'

*Grins* Yeah, I went to see it when it came to the Alhambra in Bradford. Best experience of my life so far, I reckon.
We were in the front row. The Tugger sat on your lap? Gods, you're lucky. I would've fainted right out. *Goes fangirly* He's so...ehh, he's such a wonderful idiot.
Glad to hear you enjoyed as much as I did!

Hi milamber! How r u??
Louisa Barratt was a really nice Jemima...she had a very sweet airy voice.
Don't know if I could really imagine Carrie Sutton as Jemima She made a great Tantomile though!
