Trying Out 4 Marcellus...

i am going to try out for Marcellus, because he has a higher singing voice, although i dont think i look the part...does he need to have a certain look?

No, he does NOT have to have a certain look. The director may think so, though.

Yea, my friend Evan really didn't "look" like Marcellus at all, but he still got the part! I think just as long as you're talented enough for it (like if you're a great character actor or singer or whatever) you should be fine.

Constable Locke...

i got Constable Locke...i think it is a VERY small role...correct me if im wrong...i have no idea if im in any songs or if i have any lines...

He has a few lines with Harold, and will probably be in the chorus of townspeople.

I'm also pretty sure he has a scene with Tommy as well.

It's a small but good role - and can be funny too... at least you got in and got a definite role! bravo! Applause

Oh, I don't think so. In the movie I saw, Marcellus was a big fat guy with a funny voice, and in our play, our Marcellus was lanky (thin and tall, at least for his age anyways) and had a great voice yet he still made the character hilarious. It depends on your acting skills moreso than looks
