Transition problemI've always had a problem with the transition from the title song through to the start of Music Of The Night.
They sing a rock song tgether going to the Phantom's layer (title track). Then, Phantom sings to Christine (I Have Brought You). He then sings a romantic ballad (Music Of The Night) that seems to come out of nowhere.
Dramatically, these three songs have never fit together for me. I don't know why. The flow seems uneven.
I can't explain it. The transition has always bothered me.
Someone explain it to me.
Please.
Andy.

I think so too. Especially when you listen to the Cast Recording. But oh well... They're both beautiful songs.

I've always felt that when they reach the lair and the Phantom bangs away on his organ, it sort of calms him down, which is why he is able to go into a romantic ballad. Even during the ballad, though, he is still a bit excited in his movements and such, so that makes it more believable.
*shrug* My two cents.
