okay, so i know it started pretty recently, but any talks of the show touring yet??

No word on a tour yet.

Usually broadway musicals (new and revivals) wait until after the Tony Awards to do a national tour. And I would be very surprised if Mary Poppins did not do a national tour eventually. However I think some recent musicals did not do a tour or toured for a very short period of time(La Cage aux Folles), but La Cage was a revival.

If Mary Poppins does do a tour, some of the sets and special effects may be watered down because not all theatres have the facilities to support a full broadway set and just for ease of breakdown during moves as well.
