Too Much For One Heart

I was browsing Youtube today and I came upon a few videos of "Too Much For One Heart." In case you don't know, this song has the same melody of Please, my personal favorite melody, but with different lyrics about Kim's feelings for Tam. Lea Salonga does an amazing job with it and because I adore the song "Please", I'm interested in finding out more about it. Where in the production stage was this song cut, and why? Does anyone have the lyrics to it? Also, is there an MP3 file of it available anywhere?

All responses appreciated in advance.
The Very Angry Woman

Lyrics from the demo:

Outside there is a war

But here the night is still

The jasmine buds have bloomed

The way that jasmine will

And I have given birth

To a sparkle of life

To a speckle of dust

To a small hint of life

How when the world can be so cruel

Can such floods of feelings start

This is love that overwhelms me

This is too much for one heart

How in the face of all this beauty

Can two lovers be apart?

All the feelings are inside me

This is too much for one heart

Yours, half of all of this is yours

Half of all this boundless joy

Come, come and see

The best of you and have me

Don't you know that nothing's worth

As much as one true love's worth

He is more than the beauty of a rainbow

As it arcs above the sky

When I see his child before me

Sometimes I just have to cry

Have to cry

Now, I want everything to change

The past is mine to rearrange

Come to me soon

Or I know that you will find me

Surely as sunlight

Always seeks out the moon

I have been living with such wonders

That my soul could burst apart

This is lightning without thunder

This is too much for one heart

This verison is slightly different than the one Lea Salonga sings in concert. I believe the song was cut during OLC rehearsals.
What Is This Feeling?

See, I've never even heard that song before, it's not familiar to me.... Sad

Don't pout. It's not familiar to most people.

Search for it on Youtube. Or you can try this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d60l_bqfvY I'm not sure how good the sound quality is, that's what happens when your grandparents' computer doesn't have speakers.

Do you know what part of the show it was intended for? I personally think it fits in a lot of places, but maybe before "I Still Believe." Although, now that I think about it, that would ruin the surprise reaction of "WHAT? She has a son?" the first-time audience experiences during "This Is THe Hour." Also, what could have been used to convey the storyline and message of "Please"?

This is indeed one of the most beautiful and touching songs of the musical. A pity it's not included in either of the recordings.

Outside there is a war
In here the night is still
The jasmine buds have bloomed
The way that jasmine will

And I have given birth
To a sparkle of life
To a speckle of dust
To a small hint of life

Frail as a flower in the morning
Is this tiny work of art
When I see his face before me
This is too much for one heart
Here like a seedling in a garden
Is a world about to start
How I need you here to share it
This is too much for one heart

Yours... Half of all of this is yours
And I swear upon the moon
Soon, you will see
The best of you and me
And a smile that is shining
On the face of your son
All alone in my arms I hold such beauty
I want time to stop right here
Make perfection last forever
In which I could disappear
Disappear

Yours... Half of all of this is yours
And now I feel you coming near
Here you will see
The best of you and me
Both our stories combining
In this life we've begun
I have been living with such wonder
That my soul could burst apart
Knowing soon we'll be together
And it's too much for one heart

This is how I know it Smile I love it and am still hoping that someday the sheet music for this will turn up somewhere...
