To Call, or not to Call.A local Company has come up with an incredible opportunity. They've rented an off broadway theatre for the month of july, and are going to put on a show with local teenagers.
Now, this hasn't been widely advertised, and auditions are by invite only. Those that got invitations have been with the company for a long amount of time. They're all incredibly talented, and also some of my closest friends.
I've only been with the company for about a year now, so when invitations went out, I was overlooked. A number of the people that were invited were talking about it, and I was with them, and when I didn't have a clue what they were talking about.. they were shocked. they were all under the impression that I'd be someone to receive an invitation, and I'm VERY interested in being a part of this. But, because of the fact that I've only been with the company for a year, I didn't get invited.
I know the director fairly well.. would it be wrong for me to ask him about it, and see if they'd give me a slot?
Or would that just be rude and frowned upon?
Should I just accept that I didn't get an audition invite?
..I really would like a chance to audition..
