This is pretty cool!

I found this on YouTube, I don't know if anyone has put it on here yet, but I thought it was pretty awesome.

I enjoyed it, quite clever.

I thought the IDEA was good but as with everything else I've seen on youtube of people doing Sweeney Todd, the singing was AWFUL.

I really don't get where it says 'if you are in High School, and you are doing Sweeney, you have to SHRIEK everything'? It seems to be a common theme.

Although the voicing may have been rough, the idea was so amazingly brilliant....I loved it.
PurpleCow

Great idea. With better singers it would've been awesome.
Luc

Yeah, that's my general feeling too. Very interesting way of doing it, but I could only watch the first 2 minutes.

I loved it! Applause

Of pop and dissonance!

Dear "Sweeney Todd" Fans,

That sounded like the "Pop Music and Dissonance" version of "Sweeney Todd". The sound was the equivelant of pouring sour candy syrup over too-sweet Conversation Hearts! EEK!

The chorus was constantly at odds with the soloists, tonally speaking.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Agh, the 'singing' is terrible. The idea is actually okay.

Isn't this a high school performance? Would else do you expect.

Yeah, I could have done without their "instrumentations" during Green Finch, Kiss Me, and A Little Priest, but when they did it at the beginning of Johanna it sounded pretty awesome.
It makes me laugh when everyone pauses for Johanna to sing her high notes. And also the Napoleon Dynamite sign-language bird thing.
I also love the way the guy sings Johanna; I know it's pop-ish and everything, but I still like the variations on the tune he did.
