The Wizard of OzMy local theatre company are putting on Thw Waizard of Oz next yer...I'm sooo excited!!! I was wondering ifI would be a suitable Dorothy. I'm 14, brown hai and brown eyes, 165cm tall and 56kg with lots of dancing acting and singin experience. What does Dorothy do in the show (songs, dances, acting ability etc) and are there any other roles for me to consider?

SINGING: Quite a bit - you need to be a strong singer.
DANCING: A little bit - very light. You need to know the basics, but you don't need to be professional.
You sound perfect for Dorothy. Depending on the theatre and amount of boys/girls, you could play the Witch, and in some cases I've seen the Scarecrow, Lion and Tinman played by girls. But, of course, if there are enough guys, then those parts would prolly be out of the question for you.
