I agree.
If you have tons of white people and you want to do The Wiz, you might as well just do The Wizard of Oz.

Yeah, but let's be honest. The whole reason The Wiz was created is because they wanted a black version of TWOO. That's the entire concept!

Basicaly, you are doing TWOO with different songs and a different script. But does anyone know what the script is like? Is it "black american language", sorry if that sounds racist, or can the script be read word for word by black or white people?

My school did The Wiz in 2004 without a single black person. The language lends itself more to black people and is written as if to be said like that for the most part. However, you CAN read it differently, its just not as successful and the show would be far better with black people.
examples from the script:
LION: Little Momma, she got me feelin' like Gunga Din. Child, you know that lady is so afraid of water, she don't even take a bath?

You might as well do TWOO, but, I'm guessing The Wiz is cheaper to do.
