The roses at the endAt the end of the show when Roxie and Velma receive the boquets of roses and throw some into the audience, etc...
Are those real flowers? If so, does stage crew just go out everyday and buy a bouquet of flowers?
And if they're fake, are there just boxes and boxes of bouquets for that 2 minute finale just lying around backstage?
It's just a thought that occured to me during the show, and I realize it probably sounds incredibly stupid, but, it's what I want to know.

They are plastic flowers.
And only a few of the roses in the bouquet are loose. The rest are glued(?) together.

they're fake as fake can be.
the old bway ones were really cheap. the old tour ones were rather nice.
not sure what they're like these days since i have no interest in catching one....but yea they're fake and cheap as can be, i've got a shit load of them from my early days seeing the show.
hell belle calaway threw one at my face once lol

Wow, how many do you have?
Could you post a picture? I was in the rear mezz so I didn' really get to see them upclose.

Oh god, I have about 2 dozen of them somewhere. The roses on the portugal tour were GREAT quality... the ones on broadway and tour are cheap as hell.

honestly i have way too many. i've got shit load from bway and tons from tour via late 1990s. i went to college like a block away from the tour, each night i would go roxie and velma both would throw me roses.
the roses are fun but what do you do with them after a few years?

Actually, when I was living in my old house, I had a glass vase I had them all in.... now they're sitting in a box in my basement with all my other Chicago stuff (my flask, bowler hat, Velma ATJ dress and silver shoes with rhinestone buckles, etc...)
Sometimes I wonder if I should toss em or give them away or something, but I don't think I could part with them. Most of them have a funny story attached. (like the time Tracy threw me one, the woman next to me snatched it out of my hand, she got annoyed and threw me another one LOL)

Nobody but me. They were ordered for me in my size by a friend. There were two different theme events I needed them for (the atj dress for one and the finale costume for another).
Out of all my chicago stuff, the only things that still get used/worn are my baseball hat and my cast jacket.
