So there are no age ranges for the characters. But I am assuming, by the fact that the main roles were played by Chita and Minelli in the 80's, that I may be too young for this show. Yes?

I would say to go for it...I think you could play the daughter...

Deester, my "Let's Put On a Musical" book says that the main roles are "a late-middle aged mother" and "her grown daughter who has been living the hippie lifestyle for the past 15 years".
So... it's probably feasible for you to play the daughter, if not perfectly in your age range.
