The Pirates of Penzance is Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular comic operetta and an evening of high-octane fun. With swashbuckling pirates, cowardly policemen, man-hungry spinsters and a very Modern Major-General, this Victorian precursor to Monty Python's Flying Circus waves its skull and crossbones with great abandon and wacky humor. A delightfully raucous coming-of-age story, Pirates follows the fortunes of an orphaned boy and "slave of duty" to a most illogical conclusion and is sure to be exuberant entertainment for the entire family.
