The Monologue ThreadLately I've seen a lot of young actors struggle to find monologues. Thus I'm starting a thread for suggestions and stuff. You can ask for monologue help. You can share what monologues you did before. However, if you are to use a suggested monologue here, I highly suggest that you read the entire play before performing it (if the monologue isn't attached to a play than disregard this). A monologue is only a snippet of a play and only gives you a small amount of information on a character. You will not be able to perform it to your best potential unless you read the entire play, and use that information to develop your performance. |

'The Complete Professional Audition'
Has an INCREDIBLY helpful section on monologues. It's on Amazon, and I highly recommend this book to everyone. |
